The Author
My name is Vivian Lee, and I am currently a sophomore at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where I am currently pursuing studies in Economics and Management Science. My passion is directed towards the analysis and development of marketing technologies – that is, technological media through which companies market their products. I hope to continue creating innovations backed by thorough research in order to improve the well-being of our daily lives, on both health and entertainment platforms. I’m also an active member of the Theta Omicron chapter of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority.
I also possess a certain affinity for a broad range of arts and sciences; in addition to research, I also enjoy reading classics (particularly in foreign languages), dancing, designing, and attending networking & social events. I carry a certain fondness for satire and love to express my opinions about life, learning, and anything in-between. I place extreme importance on eloquence, coherent language, and adoption of a mature mindset. My pet peeves include inefficiency and indecision; thus, I am always looking for ways to organize and optimize my daily operations.
I also run an international singing organization; sing my heart out in the MIT Concert Choir and Chinese Choral Society (in which I am a proud soprano II); founded and currently captain the MIT Asian Dance Team; act as Managing Director for the Science and Engineering Business Club‘s Marketing focus group; co-run Imbrique Designs (web design/development company) with fellow MIT’12 classmate Jason Chiu; conduct research at Harvard Business School; and still find time on the weekends for a game of RockBand or a trek into Boston for some delicious cuisine and shopping.
